Siddhartha Put on Stage

On Tuesday 8abc and 7i were treated to a very special performance by professional dancers and musicians from India. We saw a lavish adaption of Hermann Hesse’s novel, Siddhartha. Detailed gestures and intricate body movements presented in tune told the coming-of-age story about a young man who turns his back on the material comforts of his high-caste life to search for true meaning.

The talented group will be performing this weekend at the Helmut List Halle in two separate Indian dance programs. On Sunday afternoon, October 1st, 5abc and will be attending the event titled Navrati – an Indian Classical and Folk Dance Show. The show will be followed by an Indian buffet and a social gathering.  We can’t wait!
