Music Trips and Special Concerts

This past winter and spring many lower school classes had the opportunity to attend open rehearsals with both the Recreation Orchestra and the Opera Orchestra here in Graz.  We had the special honor to say hello to former GIBS students who were performing with the Recreation Orchestra: Floris Fontin (cello – brother of Fabia Fortin, 4c) and Kathi Liendl (violin), as well as GIBS parents Andrea Molnar (cello – mother of Lina Platzgummer, 2a), Alexander Stock (violin – father of Tina Stock, 1b). Year 8 was treated to a special in house concert and conversation with Univ.Prof for Jazz Trumpet Jim Rotondi and Univ.Prof for Jazz Improvisation Renato Chicco (with help from KUG student Milos Colovic on bass).
