A Celebration of Strings

This past Monday, June 22nd former GIBS student and professional cellist Floris Fortin and violinist Mila Voloshchuk spent the morning and afternoon working with our youngest and oldest students!  Year 7 string players had the opportunity to rehearse and perform ‘Eine Kleine Nachtmusik’ with Floris and Mila during music class and the long break.  All ‘B group’ students in year 1 and 2 were treated to a ‘strings’ workshop, where they got to hear these beautiful instruments played by professional musicians as well as have a chance to play them (disinfection following, of course!).  Mila and Floris will be available to teach privately at GIBS next fall.

We are looking forward to having new students join our string ensembles in the future!
