Roll over Beethoven

This past November, year 7 music students had the unique opportunity to hear Anna Clyne’s Dance for Cello and Orchestra featuring Inbal Segev followed by Beethoven’s Symphony no. 7 in A major, under the baton of conductor Mei-Ann Chen.  The evening concert took place in the Stefaniensaal, in the heart of Graz.  The famed second movement (nicknamed ‘Allegretto’) was performed with many of the students four years earlier in the GIBS concert ‘Oberton Meets GIBS’ featuring the acclaimed Oberton String Octet.

It was a lovely evening of great music in a beautiful setting!
