Students of year one have been learning about animals – invertebrate animals, vertebrate animals, baby animals, animal sounds, animal movements and more!

We have been on our first Biology excursion – Tierwelt Herberstein!  We have invited our first guest speakers into class  – John Heugle, whose topic was Invertebrates and Vertebrates of the Oceans, and Dr Stierschneider, whose topic was Invertebrates and Vertebrates of the Rainforests! Beautiful pictures of the underwater world and rainforest creatures elicited many oohs and aahs.

We will now move on to other topics until year one students give their own animal presentations towards the end of the school year.
