Composers in our Classroom

They talked about parameters of sound, early and contemporary computer music and non-standard use of musical instruments and presented famous pieces by John Cage, George Crumb, Michel Waisvisz, Jeffrey Stolet et al. as well as some of their own compositions. Their works and research have been performed worldwide at various concerts and festivals such as EMS, ICMC, Wien Modern, Ars Electronica Linz and Mirkofest Helsinki. The students particularly loved trying out sound experiments on the piano and the musical escape room on the computer.
