Please be aware that the majority of our classes are currently full and we can only offer places when our current students leave. We have waiting lists for all year groups; priority will be given to applicants who perform well in our academic assessments, as well as those relocating to Styria for employment purposes.
- Complete the GIBS international admissions form.

- The applicant’s most recent school report cards
- A scanned copy of their passport
- Proof of residency in Styria, an offer of employment from a company in Styria, or documentation confirming future residency.
- Attend an assessment and interview – assessment days will be organised throughout the school year. This usually takes place at school, however can be arranged online in exceptional circumstances. Applicants will be assessed in Maths and English and have a short spoken interview with the admissions team. Applicants will only be invited to an assessment if there is a possibility of a place becoming available.
- Decision – once an applicant has completed the above steps we should be able to give a decision about their application. Should a student be suitable, but there is no space available in the requested class, the applicant will be put on a waiting list.
For those transferring schools within Austria: Please be aware that GIBS is an AHS with a special focus on languages, and students start learning either Spanish or French in year 3 (grade 7), and then additionally Latin, Russian, French or Spanish in year 5 (grade 9). Students transferring from within Austria into year 4 (grade 8) and upwards, need to also meet our language requirements, and will therefore be required to take assessments in these subjects.
