Detection of Microplastics in Environmental Samples

The IB Collaborative Science Project (7i) took place last week with a practical workshop (Detection of microplastics in environmental samples) in the Fachdidaktikzentrum Chemie – Uni Graz.

The Collaborative Science Project is a compulsory, collaborative and inter-disciplinary activity, which encourages IB Diploma Programme science students to debate the implications of science through practice-based learning.

This workshop promoted interdisciplinary collaboration between physics, biology and chemistry, allowed the students to debate the implications of science and the limitations of scientific study and promoted the exchange of the data collected and issues raised.
