From Mud to Masterpiece
Upper level students attending the elective course, „From Mud To Masterpiece” had worked on several ceramic projects throughout the winter semester. In this course they learned the basic techniques of ceramics and on February 12th they proudly presented their works at the first ceramic exhibition at Gibs which they had organised themselves. The exhibition was opened by Leon Muchitsch playing a few pieces on the piano which was thoroughly enjoyed by the more than 100 visitors. Family, friends, Erasmus+ students and teachers and Gibs teachers were fascinated by the excellent work that the students had done. The students sold drinks and self-baked cakes and savouries and have contributed the funds to purchase clay, glazes and tools for future ceramics courses. It was an enjoyable afternoon and we were all delighted to have had such a successful exhibition. Thank you to all the students from this course who had made a tremendous effort in learning the art of ceramics and for such a professional presentation.
