GIBS Goes Philharmonic

Classes 3a and 3b took a trip to hear the dress rehearsal of the Graz Philharmonic Orchestra!  We were expecting to hear Beethoven’s triple concerto, but an unexpected schedule change occurred and we were treated to Schumann’s second symphony instead.  Students were able to get a great overview of the orchestra from the balcony and enjoyed the trip very much despite the change in program.  GIBS pianists Ha An Nugyen, Sebestyen Kovacs, Marie Juric and Laetitia Trauer stayed longer to hear the Beethoven concerto, which featured Markus Schirmer on piano (see picture) as well as Benjamin Schmied (violin) and Danjulo Ishiozaka (cello).
