Nina Auer – Silver Medalist
This year the European Judo Championships for Cadets take place June 22nd – June 24th in Odivelas (Portugal).
More than 400 Judoka from 40 nations competed at the championships.
On the first day, Nina Auer (6a) started in the weight category under 40kg.
Having won her pool, Nina met Aiora Martin Carriches (Spain) in the semifinal which Nina won after almost 12 minutes of intense fighting.
In the final, Nina faced world number 1 Patricia Tomankova (Slovakia) who today proved to be the stronger Judoka, thus leaving the silver medal at the European Cadet Championships for Nina.
