Project Kinderleicht

This week the 3c students had the second workshop of the project Kinderleicht!  This project is a collaboration between five schools, the FH Joanneum –Institut Fahrzeugtechnik / Automotiv Engineering, Universität Graz –Institut für Bildungsforschung und PädagogInnenbildung and two companies (Hage Sondermaschinenbau GmbH and Carbon-Solutions Hintsteiner GmbH).

This workshop is part of a two-year project that includes three workshops during the Physics lessons and visits to the different institutes and partner companies.

The guiding questions of this project are:

• Einfluss des Fahrzeuggewichts auf Umwelt (Warum Leichtbau?)
• Gewichtsreduktion mittels Faserverbundwerkstoffe (Wie funktioniert Leichtbau?)
• Ressourcen schonen durch Additive Fertigung (Wodurch funktioniert Leichtbau?)

The second hands-on workshop included the exploration of 3D models, the design of different objects and the use of a 3D printer.
