Schulschacholympiade 2024

This year, GIBS competed in the Styrian Chess Championships for individuals and schools again. Altogether, 17 GIBS players from various age groups participated in the events. Our players performed exceptionally well:

Anh secured 3rd place, while Megha achieved 2nd place in their age group categories in the individual tournaments.

What is more, following a long and successful tradition of GIBS chess teams, this year’s „GIBSMädchen“ team (Anh, Megha, Sofia and Marlene) came in 2nd out of 33 teams.

We would like to congratulate all chess players on their outstanding performances.

Who knows, we might have seen a future GIBS chess grandmaster performing at the event!
