Year 2 Orchestra Rehearsal Trip

Classes 2a and 2b took a special trip to the Graz Oper this month, and sat in on an open rehearsal for ‘Die Fledermaus’ by Johann Strauß. Students had the opportunity to actually sit next to the musicians and have first-hand experience of what a rehearsal is like for a professional orchestra member.  Violinist Charly Vorraber (Kristin 6a, Mathias 7a) and violist Elissaveta Staneva-Vogl came to the school a few days before to prepare the students for this fantastic experience.  Markus Merkel was conducting and stopped by to have a chat with class 2b after the rehearsal!
